The Other Crisis Facing the American Middle Class

AMAC Exclusive – By Seamus Brennan

media

With the perilous state of the U.S. economy and looming threat of a recession at some point over the next year, the American Middle Class finds itself in a historically vulnerable financial position. But while the threat of hard economic times is by now obvious, Middle Class Americans are also facing a hidden health crisis that isn’t making headlines.

“Under the radar” is how Casey Mulligan, former Chief Economist for the Council of Economic Advisors under President Trump, described the alarming rise in health issues for Middle Class Americans in an interview with AMAC Newsline. While the media largely ignores the problem, the numbers tell an alarming story.

“People’s health is in bad shape by the standards of, I’d say, three years ago,” he said. According to data that goes through the end of 2021, Mulligan explained, the nation has suffered from “an abnormally high rate of death from motor vehicle accidents, from homicide, from diabetes, heart [disease], stroke—that type of thing—drugs, alcohol. These are all abnormally high.”

Though deaths resulting from these causes have long been problematic, “they’re a lot higher” than they once were and are now disproportionately affecting Middle Class Americans in noticeable ways that are looming “just as large”—if not larger—than any setbacks from inflation. Many of these trends, Mulligan continued, can easily be traced back to Covid-era restrictions and prolonged lockdowns and quarantines. “Typically,” Mulligan explained, Middle Class Americans “aren’t happy” with indeterminate lockdown states, which contribute in no small part to deteriorating qualities of health. A survey by the American Psychological Association, for instance, found that a whopping 42 percent of Americans gained weight since the start of the pandemic, with an average gain of 29 pounds. These forces, Mulligan said, put Middle Class individuals “that much further behind when we get back to normal.”

“There’s a lot of people in America, and they have unique circumstances, and the government—Fauci and those types of people—can’t even begin to comprehend, let alone direct” struggling Americans out of their adverse situations, thus keeping them effectively cemented in “abnormal” and unhealthy lifestyles. “We could have dealt with that pandemic with a more normal lifestyle like Sweden did,” Mulligan noted. “Their Coronavirus deaths are kind of in line with ours, but we don’t see these deaths from all these other causes… Obviously nobody lives forever in any country, but these abnormal deaths” simply haven’t occurred because “Sweden kept life pretty normal.”

“People had to reinvent their lives, and any time you have to reinvent something, the first rendition is not going to be so great. So, the policy would be to avoid [forcing] people to reinvent their lives, and allow them to continue with what worked for them before,” Mulligan said. “And there’s still, in Chicago, in New York—people are not living as normal. Their offices aren’t open, a lot of them—either one or two days a week—it’s still not normal life.”

“A lot of these politicians are actively preventing us from going back to normal,” he continued, referring to Biden’s attempt to prolong mask mandates on airplanes and extend other restrictions. “And I don’t see why we should expect health to get back to normal when everything else isn’t allowed to get back to normal.”

The first step in returning back to any sort of normalcy, Mulligan said, would be a simple acknowledgement from government leaders of the conditions they themselves have created. “They’re clueless. Some of them insisted that—if you go back a year and a half—they insisted that this wasn’t happening.”

By contrast, Mulligan claimed, former President Donald Trump had the right instinct by urging Americans to return to a normal lifestyle as quickly as reasonably possible. Biden, he said, should take a page out of his predecessor’s book and start “making people aware of the sacrifices that we continue to make as long as we are not back to normal.”

Covid-related lockdowns have also led to a handful of significant disparities between red states and blue states, Mulligan observes—particularly when it comes to homicide rates. According to his research, during the pandemic, homicides surged 25 percent in red states and 50 percent in blue states—a trend that continued at least through the end of 2021. The increase in homicides and other crimes resulting from lockdown policies has “affected the Middle Class in ways even more shocking because they’re not used to it,” he said.

Coupled with other pandemic-era setbacks like school closures, Mulligan continued, unnecessarily drawn-out lockdown policies have led to a marked decline in the health and economic wellbeing of Middle Class families.

For someone who has conceitedly referred to himself as “Middle Class Joe” for the duration of his near-half-century in the United States government, one would think that President Biden would be more worried than anyone about the current predicaments of Middle Class Americans. As Mulligan noted, the solutions for solving the problems facing the Middle Class remain readily available, but Biden has thus far failed to reach for them.

But as Mulligan also says, acknowledging and ultimately addressing the problems faced by Middle Class Americans would require something of a “personal sacrifice” that Joe Biden and other Democrats are likely unwilling to make. To “hope to fix and alleviate a problem, you have to acknowledge it, and that’s going to involve a personal sacrifice for a lot of these leaders, because they denied it was happening and now they’re going to have to come up and say, ‘Actually, it is happening, and it’s ongoing—I was wrong,’” he said. “But that ain’t going to go too easily.”

If his first 15 months as president are any indication, personal sacrifice remains a foreign concept to Joe Biden. Luckily, however, midterm elections are only six months away—and Biden may soon be forced to finally take the hint.

Anyone who got the “COVID vaccines” threw their health out the window. For many, the effects are/have been already devastating. For the rest, it’s just a matter of time.

Ever since the Jets
have been spraying our skies, I’ve noticed a deterioration first in our trees. Many dead trees on our mountains and hillsides. I’ve seen, what seems strange to me, a number of Vultures lingering on roadsides by carcasses jet right out in front of vehicles getting themselves killed.
The sheer number of crazy people lately, maybe more who live ungodly lives being affected than people of faith, as we are affected more healthwise. I’ve never heard from any government official why those jets are really spreading clouds overhead. Some say it’s because of the depletion of our O-Zone, while others claim it’s just new jet fuel. I think it’s having a lot more to do with how it’s affecting human brain function than anyone in our government is willing to divulge.
The trees are being affected, the animals…deer having skin and coat issues, I’m starting to think it might even be affecting our weather patterns. Possibly why we’re having high winds in Summer on the West Coast making it hard to get our forest fires under control. A lot of crazy people in this country these days with the level of ungodliness. Someone is definitely to blame for those Jets flying over spraying our skies with whatever it is! Stay close to God, He’s our only protection! We will still suffer, but it will be for Christ’s sake, not what the world is dishing out.

The spraying is called Chem Trails and it has been going on for years and yes, it does affect your health and the health of the farm crops!!! Which means we are eating whatever is in the spray! They seem to be spraying here in NJ on a regular basis!

It is just condensation. The exhaust includes water vapor, and it is rather cold up there. So the water quickly condenses into long thin clouds. Nothing to worry about.

Wake up and smell the coffee. Why does one plane has a 100 foot tail behind that disappears as it’s going (condensation) the other has a tail that goes behind that gets wider and wider till theres a large thin cloud covering the sky. Definitely not (condensation) as the one your talking about

Don’t stick your head in the ground! The socialists are not afraid of the elections in November. They expect to be fully in charge by then. That is why they don’t care whether you like their leftist extremism as they push the US even further left. Wake up!

Let’s not hold our breath waiting for these left-wing fascists to take any pages out of Donald Trump’s very successful diary of successes. He–and we–are the enemy of the leftists, and they will always act appropriately to their delusions.

During this period medicare ‘physicals’ became ‘touch me nots’. Senior healthcare today requires a lot more patient involvement because the doc simply asks questions. Then theres the trend towards telemedicine. Im not condemning pcps. Theyve got an aweful lot on their plate but one better realize that a proactive stance is necessary. For instance, if fully clothed doc visits are here to stay, and you dont have a dermatologist youd best get one. Who else will see the melanoma on your back? As to homicides: this is almost entirely due to restraints being removed from a certain ethnicity thanks to soros funded prosecutors and wacko dem mayors. Where i live this is resulting in an exodus into surrounding territory with less ‘diversity’.

The health of older Americans could be vastly improved if the recommendations by the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association and the Association of Nutrition and Dietetics were ignored.
These organizations are funded by big pharma. (See ‘Banting Level Sponsors’ of the diabetes association).
EAT steak! EAT BACON. EAT salt. It’s the carbs that are killing people, and carbs are pushed by these organizations.
Carbs —> more insulin (from the pancreas or injected). High insulin levels —> high inflammation. High inflammation—> cardiovascular disease.
Less than 30 grams of carbs a day can decrease the issues.
Try it. The health industry WANTS people to die a slow, painful, medication-laden death.

I agree with you about the carbohydrates. Remember when the USDA food pyramid had whole grains taking up the most space on the pyramid? A few decades ago, I was pre-diabetic, even though I ate whole wheat bread and brown rice (not daily), exercised more than enough, never drank soda, and ate more vegetables than I did as a kid. Then I started eating more greens (especially the brassicas), berries and nuts every day, much less bread (of any kind), no fruit juice, more fish/less other animal protein, and finally my A1C normalized.

When I was younger, my mother was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, but she didn’t change her diet. Her doctor gave her a brochure from the American Diabetes Assn., which listed recipes high in carbohydrates! She came to live with me when she was elderly, and soon lost 20 pounds and went off a couple of her diabetes and cholesterol prescriptions. She lived to her mid-90’s.

It’s heartbreaking to see what people fill their shopping carts with these days. I know; we’ve been through a stressful time with Covid, but most health problems we brought on ourselves. That includes me–still losing those extra pounds!

I know of three adults seriously affected by mental and behavioral issues from long Covid. Two, who drive heavy trucks, have fainting spells. The other is obviously confused and seems senile. Perhaps this has something to do with the increase in auto collisions?

The only thing Trump did right was get the vaccines out in a very timely manner. For that he deserves appreciation. But even after all his efforts the people, his people wouldn’t take them. It’s simple to look back and see what we should have done or could have done differently or didn’t have to do. It’s easy to blame someone who was thinking they were making the best decision based on the available data at the time. Only to find out a year later, it wasn’t. According to ? we should have done nothing and just kept on as normal when this thing swept the nation. We should have ignored it, it didn’t exist, it was all made up. Their data shows nothing we did made a difference. Obviously these great minds don’t work in a hospital where the very sick patients didn’t do anything. And guess who’s paying all the enormous medical bills due to their lack of self care…

If you want to know why people refused to take a vaccine that doesn’t prevent you from catching Covid and doesn’t prevent you from spreading Covid please read the book “The Real Anthony Fauci” by Robert F Kennedy Jr. I garantee you’ll never take another Covid shot. Another fact to consider is that many 3rd world countries, African nations as one example had very low death rates from Covid per capita. The book explains why. Hint: What do folks take to protect themselves from Malaria?

People listened to MOST doctors and MOST nurses who gave wrong information.
Patients were following the guidelines by diabetes, nutrition and heart associations. These guidelines kill people. Yes, I have proof.
Doctors get bigger reimbursements if they find at least FIVE diagnoses for each patient. Fixing the problem gets the hospital bean counters less money.
There have been many nurses and doctors, however, teaching the truth. We have been silenced as much as the left can make it happen. Check out nurses on truth social. We’ve been right all along.
