On March 25 of this year, construction officially began on the Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington, Texas. A project years in the making, it will celebrate the recipients of our nation’s most prestigious military medal, telling the unique stories of the service members who have been awarded the Medal of Honor. “There is a certain enthusiasm in liberty, that makes human nature rise above itself, in acts of bravery and heroism.” —Alexander Hamilton (1775)
This statement by the man that remains on the $10 bill shows, not just his wisdom, but the inspiring nature of the word “LIBERTY.” I am reasonably certain that the men awarded the MOH had in their nature something that was above themselves, with their bravery and heroism. As General G. S. Patton said, “Thank God that such men lived.” America owes everyone that ever served as a patriot whichever branch(s) a debt that cannot be paid.
James Madison knew we would have a Brandon Gump back in 1787.
“Enlightened statesmen will not always be at the helm.” —James Madison (1787)
Ben Franklin kept Thomas Jefferson on the task of writing our Declaration of Independence, among other great acts in his life.
“Without Freedom of Thought there can be no such Thing as Wisdom; and no such Thing as Public Liberty, without Freedom of Speech.” —Benjamin Franklin (1722)
AWESOME! PEOPLE AND CHILDREN CAN LEARN HOW COURAGE and BRAVERY SAVES LIVES IN DANGEROUS SITUATIONS WHILE PROTECTING THE UNITED STATES of AMERICA FROM
THE MEDAL OF HONOR IS THE HIGHEST HONOR AND I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO ALL WHO EARNED THE AWARD.
A LOT CAN BE LEARNED AT THE MEDAL OF HONOR MUSEUM AND OUR CHILDREN MUST LEARN THAT FREEDOM IS NOT FREE.
