Parents Are Rethinking Disney

Disney is slipping … going light to dark. Think J.R.R. Tolkien … East of Gondor, south of Mirkwood, lies Mordor, the “land of shadows” in Tolkien’s make-believe world. A Black Gate is guarded by Towers of Teeth, and what could be good is bad. Disney is slipping toward Mordor, away from innocence, goodness, and light. Disney is now Communist China’s ally, promoter of social dysfunction, place of fear, and trepidation for parents who want healthy children. Why?

First, Disney went “woke,” pushing adult themes on little children, abnormal as normal, infusing what was happy, innocent entertainment with darkness, leftist jargon, and characters.

Then, Disney moved into a tight relationship with Communist China’s government. That relationship, well documented, involves revenues from contracts with a government guilty of heinous human rights violations and seems to be encouraging Chinese content in America.

Now, we see something stranger still. Parents fear for young children and feel under siege. They witness leftist, power-centering, coercive policies pushed into public schools. Media and government push what – only a few years ago and objectively – is inappropriate content.

When parents speak at school board meetings, the Biden Justice Department investigates them under the rubric of “terrorism.” Parents discover Marxist curricula, Critical Race Theory, sexual misinformation, open disenfranchisement of girls, and mass erosion of Title 9 gains.

In Florida, parents have finally stood up – and said “enough!” They banded together and asked the governor to protect young children in public schools – kindergarten to third grade. They wanted an end to lessons causing children fear, confusion, and doubt about gender, sexuality, and identity.

How many little children do you know, or ever in time knew, know those words – as they were taught to read, write, do math, and gain confidence? None until now.

Even worse, parents were told they had to shut up, no remedy. Their kids were being taught that they might not be boys or girls, after all – not what God, science, history, common sense, and parents teach, but fungible and, worse, fixable. Confusing does not begin to reflect the anger parents feel.

All this would worry any parent because it steals parental prerogatives, what parents are there to do – teach and nurture, love and educate, and morally ground their children. That is not the job of a politically motivated, morally indifferent, or openly immoral government of a company.

So, Florida’s parents and governor passed a law to stop the government from teaching little children to question their sexuality, gender, or life identities, ending political and wrong-headed life lessons.

The state restored parents’ long-held rights, including when and in what way to speak and teach, medically and morally educate, protect, and advance their children’s lives.

Sensible, except here comes Disney. Disney – once “motherhood and apple pie” – now seems in league with those advancing profoundly inappropriate questions for little children, causing them to question political and sexual identities, in effect grooming, cultivating, and indoctrinating the young.

Disney slammed parents and the governor for preserving parental rights in areas as important to child development as it gets, that being security, identity, and proper timing for understanding sexuality.

The real question is why? Why did Disney decide to advocate for child confusion, moral depredation, misinformation, and miseducation, using their longtime positive image to drag children into Mordor, a place of worry, fear, confusion, and questioning of their parents?

How did a paragon of virtue, a place of relief and entertainment, a company known for supplanting worry with hope, fear with joy, anxiety with jubilation – become the reverse, a source of an attack on families, parents, childhood security, and a place of anxiety, worry, and political correctness?

Children in America are suffering from social isolation, COVID aftereffects, and suspension of traditional educational grounding. They are being cared for by stressed parents in an age of political histrionics, a unique blend of insecurity. The last thing they need is to be told they should question if they are, in fact, a boy or girl.

And the last thing parents need is to fight a company once a wholesome source of comfort and entertainment for children – suddenly leveraging that relationship to push politics and sex.

Bluntly, leftists in government and detractors of family rights and childhood security in the corporate world are working to shape children and undermine childhood security, confidence, and social peace. This woke business model must stop.

Disney has lost its way. The time is now for those who think this way to stop. Parents have the right to raise their children, protect them, and guide their education in personal and sexual matters. In no world – not even J.R.R. Tolkien’s darkest Mordor – are little children used as social experiments. Parents across America are right – Disney’s new identity is wrong.

First – this new law in Florida should extend throughout elementary school years – not just through the 3rd grade. Secondly – there is no such thing as a Trans-Gender – you are born XX (Female) or XY (Male) and you will live with those little chromosomes and you will die with the same. No matter how much lipstick, makeup, clothing or whatever – a boy cannot be a girl — and a girl cannot be a boy. They are nothing more than Cross-Dressers! – Period!

Well I suppose we could theoritically develop a nightmarish Retro-virus that targets and assassinates key elements of our genome and replaces them with a opposite chromosome so that it goes from X-Y to X-X or X-Y to X-X . You know so basically murder someone and replace them with a opposite gender pod person. Whats wrong with that ide :D Other then the horrendous nature of taking away someones life and birthing someone that may never feel right or act right afterwards.

Disney’s been “woke” for quite some time now. I opted to take the grandkids elsewhere. No more Disneyland for this fellow and his family… IMHO

Disney was supposed to be where you could still escape to a world of love of country, morals, clean living, and fun. The most political it ever was, before now, were the ads to “Buy Bonds” and the cartoons against Hitler and Hirohito during WWII. Walt and his brother must be whirling dervishes in their graves! What is so bad about being just like it was supposed to be when it was first thought of, a place for families to have fun? I am glad I went to both Disney World and Disneyland years ago, before it went so “woke.”

Disney chose alliance with ‘Hollywierdoism’ for the money, power, and political influence over the traditional mission of haven and entertainment for innocent children within traditional family structure.

It’s just sad what Disney has turned into.

Disney is now a parallel to what America has become. Don’t overlook the evil just because there is a little good here and there. Disney will only respond to money folks because they are so big in the world and have such a solid group on their boards and financiers that favor the left’s Marxist theology. Time for those who want morality back on center stage to turn them off even if it hurts a little. What do we want our children and culture exposed to? Our power against these corporations is money.

Instead of Florida feeling THEY have to explain why a 4 to 8 year olds teacher should refer to a parent regarding sexual matters, how’s about the teachers explain why its so important to THEM to talk to a child about sex? Seems kind of “pedo-ee” to me… If I can drink Sam’s Choice soda instead of Wok-a-Cola, I can skip watching anything from Disney…

The wierdos are a minority and on a crusade to increase their numbers by poisoning children’s minds.

We were Annual Passholders. No more. That frees our $1,500+ cashflow to Disney (NOT COUNTING WHAT WAS SPENT AT THE PARK) for other things. Do not feed the Rat in Mouse’s clothing any more.

Maybe, just maybe, the management of Disney World will get a wakeup call when the State of Florida takes away their tax breaks and other financial benefits. The stock holders will not be very happy and even in this weird world of woke business, money still talks. Where is Disney World going? It would take them decades to move the property to some other state. The loss of revenue from a majority of families who still hold values will impact them and their bottom line. Business and politics can become a burden that will kill the golden goose.

Maybe they can open another park in China. Shut down the one in Florida — and lets hope they lose enough money to go broke.

It’s time for them (the normal them) to change the name from Disney to something else. The company has been going in this direction for some time now. No actual members of the Disney family are involved to my knowledge. I was raised on Walt Disney and my children were also. Nearly every family vacation involved Disney, because that’s where the kids wanted to go. I and my children have many wonderful memories because of Walt Disney’s vision. He made the world a better place. That time is gone, and my family will not spend our money or time on Disney again.

I am in my 70s now and I also have taken family on numerous Disney vacations. My wife and I have been to Disney World and Disneyland at least 5 or 6 times in our retirement years. No more. A liberal corporate culture and their “wokeness” has ended it.

Disney has become a vacation destination and almost every child wants a Mickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse doll or figurine. Disney makes billions from the sales of merchandise, ticket sales and on and on . Let’s send a message to Disney with our dollars and tell them to get out of our country and try promoting their agenda and vile thinking in Red China ! Disney we are done with your nonsense .

Our family has never been to Disney World. Our children didn’t want to go. They liked to visit things like Lost Sea in Tennessee and every cave and cavern we passed on our road trips. Seems they weren’t happy unless they spent their vacation underground. Maybe it was because their parents have a fixation with geology and they acquired it. But the one thing we did enjoy and I sure do miss was Hanna Barbera Land. We lived in Houston and had one nearby. I never realized how short a life it had until I looked it up. But we sure had fun while it lasted. We and our kids were young then and could do all the participation things it had to offer. Another place we enjoyed was Busch Gardens in Houston. It’s gone now too. I will be sad to see if the same thing happens to the Disney Theme Parks but if it does the Disney Corporation brought it on themselves. Walt had a great thing going. Some people really should live forever.

Chapek aka Paychek has to go. He’s been bringing Disney down since his first day in office. Kind of reminds me of Biden, after all he has been bringing the USA down since his first day in office.
