8 out of 15 & 6 of those 8 were just plain dumb lucky guesses! Used to have them all memorized. Can you say “frontal lobe failure”?

How fun!! I was disappointed that I missed one.

Ha, Julianne! I’m only 65 & I managed to miss 11! High score wins! Half growing up on the west coast and second-guessing against the cites most publicized. Maybe FNC should distinguish state capitols on their weather maps. I wonder if public schools today even teach state capitols? My dad was required to know all the counties in Idaho while in school. I can’t even be sure where Calaveras county is.
Keep the quizzes coming! Stretch my brain on the racks of your library.

Got them all. I’m pretty good at state capitals. Only Minnesota stumps me every once in a while.

I did know them all long ago, but at 87 I missed 4. More quizzes would be welcome, thanks so much.

10 out of 15! Many were guesses…but still not bad ?

I got them all right. The reason for this is that my parents got me the jigsaw puzzle map of the United States when I was a small boy and each piece was a state and had on it the capital and some of the other cities and pictures of things like the main farm crops. I have never had much of a problem with knowing U.S. geography ever since — that puzzle was the main factor.

It’s amazing what a difference early education at home can make. Especially when it is disguised as play.

Missed 2. Montana and New Mexico. At one time I had them all memorized. Shame on me.

I would do poorly naming the capitals of the various cantons, but I have only been to your beautiful country two or three times, and not at all in recent years.

I aced it – 15 out of 15. I had to learn the capitals in the 8th grade. I was tested again in an earth science class in college. What’s hard to believe is that 50 years later I am able to remember most of them.

I got 14/15. I learned the Capitals in the fifth grade and some reason remembered them. I always loved geography anyway. I missed the capital of Oregon.
