How about something positive to brighten your day? Enter Gallup’s recent report on happiness :
The report’s key takeaway? Despite all of the negative things we read, see and hear in the news, the world isn’t doing that badly. More than 70% of the world said they smiled or laughed a lot the previous day. Only seven countries had less than a majority of people say the same (including Ukraine, Iraq and Syria). So, while we hear so much about the things that aren’t going well, 70% of the world is still finding a way to have fun.
Didn’t that make you feel good?
Times get tough. Money is sometimes tight, the news isn’t always full of promising statistics and expectations, and technology can sometimes add stress that seems exhausting. However, the fact that 70% of the world is finding a way to smile through it all gives me hope.
Laughter really is the best medicine. I’m admittedly not always great at laughing off stress and appreciating every minute of life, but I’m working on it.
Life’s too short to let the struggles overtake the smiles.

I think it’s wonderful that 79% of people are smiling and having fun. But I think that’s not a reason to think the world is OK! We are not ok. I myself don’t want to sit around worrying about what could happen, could terrorists strike where we live! We have to go on. I put my faith and trust in our Saviour Jesus Christ, who is God. He walks with me everyday, guiding me. I fear no evil for the Lord is with me. I know a lot of folks are going to bash me about this, but that’s ok, I know that I will live in eternity with Jesus. Otherwise there is Hell.
God is the only answer to happiness in this world, and for eternity.
You are absolutely correct Shirley. Jesus is the only answer to our countries problems. Our country is in this mess because we Christians do not get involved in the process! We need to elect Christians to our public offices not the PC, in it for themselves people.
