Americans Approve of Trump Immigration Action

from – PoliZette – by Kathryn Blackhurst

Despite the mass hysteria origination from the mainstream media and leftist activists, 55 percent of American voters approve of President Donald Trump’s executive orders that revoked funding from sanctuary cities and imposed a temporary travel ban, according to a Morning Consult/Politico poll released Wednesday.

Since the president initiated executive action to crack down on illegal immigration, boost border security, and promote national security in the fight against terrorism, liberals have gone into hysterics and decried Trump’s “Islamaphobia” and “anti-immigrant” beliefs. The hyperbole and wall-to-wall negative coverage in much of the media seems to have done little to deter ordinary Americans from supporting Trump’s efforts.

The Morning Consult/Politico poll, which surveyed 2,070 registered voters across the nation between Feb. 2-4, showed that Trump’s travel ban and sanctuary city-focused executive orders are his most popular thus far in his presidency. Only 33 percent of respondents disapproved of the president’s decision to revoke federal funding for sanctuary cities, while 38 percent disapproved of the temporary travel ban.

Those numbers, however, stand in stark contrast the amount of negative media attention the president’s executive orders have warranted over the last few weeks.

The liberal resistance to the orders received a boost when a judge in Washington State halted Trump’s travel ban executive order on citizens from seven terrorism-compromised countries. The Left applauded the ruling.

“That opinion didn’t deserve the name,” Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) said Wednesday on “The Laura Ingraham Show.” “In fact, you might call it a ‘so-called opinion’ because it didn’t have any legal analysis. It did not have a single reason that President Trump’s order on refugee travel was unconstitutional and illegal.”

The case is now before the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Noting that the 9th Circuit is one of the most “notoriously liberal” courts in the entire country, Cotton insisted that there shouldn’t have been any hold-ups for Trump’s “lawful” executive order.

“The president is granted significant discretion under federal law to determine who is enabled to come into this country for security-based reasons,” Cotton said. “But … this is merely an order from the president to the executive branch directing them how to employ the discretion vested in him by federal law — not a law.”

The president did encounter several issues while rolling out the travel ban executive order that required subsequent clarifications, including whether or not immigrants who already held green cards were included in the ban. But Cotton said if Trump simply modified the order and provided further clarity, the 9th Circuit would have no legal basis for ruling against the administration.

“If [Trump] does that and [Washington State and Minnesota] still object, then they really are just protecting the position that we cannot have borders and that everyone in the world has a constitutional right to travel to the United States. That is plainly not the law and it is plainly unpopular with the American people,” Cotton told LifeZette Editor-in-Chief Laura Ingraham. “So that would be one path for the president to take if he wants to begin to keep this country safe from potential threats traveling to it.”

Those who object are Bat-Dung-Crazy, menopausal, crack-heads, radical inbred vacuous Mu-slimes, anti-American, fruits, nuts, flakes, traitors, or recently received a severe brain injury or tumor?

The only way the liberals can win in the next election is to have people that think like them vote for them. We need people that love america not the ones that hate america. The more leftist that come in illegally will vote for the liberals and increase the cost of taxes for us that work for a living

“We The People” need to abolish the Democrat party at any expense, forcefully if necessary – PERIOD! Today, they are no different than the Communists were back in the 50’s-70’s and at that time the United States Government and her citizens did not tolerate any crap from the Communists, be them private or organized; therefore, why should we be tolerating all this nonsense from the terrorist acting Democratic party? WE SHOULD NOT!!

I not only approve of Trump’s immigration action, I also know he is completely within his authority doing what he did, which also happened to fulfill a campaign promise. There was no valid legal reasoning in the 9th Circuit ruling, which in fact set a very dangerous and silly precedent that every person in the entire world has all the same constitutional rights as American citizens. Trump’s EO may have been poorly written and so perhaps should be rewritten, but the basic premise was perfectly legal and proper. If everyone would stop and think for a minute, what was the purpose of this immigration order? It was simply to help protect the American people! Nothing else. Yet Trump’s opponents have a problem with that? Do they really put unknown immigrants flooding into out nation, especially those from hostile nations in the Middle-east, ahead of our safety? Because that is exactly what they are doing!

BTW, does everyone realize we are actually paying all the travel and relocation expenses for these “refugees”? An interesting article from Judicial Watch this week about this and JW’s unsuccessful attempts thus far to get the actual numbers, and they are high, that this policy is costing us.

Hi, I am a registered Democrat, yet I favor these above orders. I am sick and tired of paying into social funds and taxes for promised benefits like ssn, medicare and such, and being cheated out of them because people whom never paid in are gutting the systems and we the American citizens get nothing …and receive cuts to programs every year based on money issues. It is plain math that you cannot sustain a program when you are paying out to people whom never paid it. Further, when you cut interest rates to the point where that lump of money cannot earn anything, the programs die. I am tired of people whom are not citizens of this country having more rights and spending our tax dollars on things like required interpreters for their children and such. They commit crimes that I would be put in jail for, such as ssn fraud, yet they walk free. I live in Illinois and they will not enforce the law here. They will issue driver’s licenses to non-citizens, cannot force them to maintain insurance and we suffer when they hit our cars or damage our property.
the social program coffers in Il. have been decimated by the low income non-citizens in this state. If it is a law on the books, then this government needs to enforce it. While it may sound cold, I nor anyone citizen in this country told the illegal immigrants to come here and leverage their children in the hopes that pity would be bestowed onto them because it would disrupt their lives to be deported ..I did not put their children in this position, they did..knowing full well the immigration laws here.
It is time to enforce them…and yes..it is also time to make it easier to come here and be a citizen..but in the case of illegals, they are automatically federal criminals the moment that they crossed the border illegally.

saltoemr, sounds like it might be time you dump the Democrat party and register Republican? Or at least vote out the Democratic government in Illinois and vote in a government that respects and upholds the law, which by the way is the Republican party. America can be a great country again and there was only one single candidate who ran their campaign on insisting to do so! Now that candidate is the President of the United States and you have to ask yourself why did Donald Trump get elected? You know the answer because you stated it in your original post.

God Bless!

I agree with everything you stated, with one exception. Why should legal immigration be made easier? What does making it easier entail? Dropping our standards? No way. It should be made harder, and then maybe we wouldn’t have any Tsarnayev brothers planning massacres of innocent people.

As a new citizen to America, I find the left wing hysteria disgusting. Both my wife and I are from foreign countries and came to America the CORRECT way. We feel this is so ridiculous to actually protest being kept safer today than yesterday. We are both classified by the liberals as Deplorable, and proud of it. We both supported our new President, myself for the first time. And pleased with what he is doing, and how.

Welcome to the United States. Glad to have you! You and your wife are what immigration is supposed to be all about.

What the Democrats are pushing is not immigration, it’s an invasion and nothing less.

Welcome aboard!

I also wish Tom and his wife the best of luck and happiness in the USA. I am sure that President Trump will improved things as time goes on. I think he is doing a good job. My parents were both immigrants years ago.

The 9th Circuit learned Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals VERY well. These rules were dedicated to Satan – the first Radical.

They (the dems) are out to get the Rep. and they are trying everything. It has just started, we have a lot of years for them to try everything they can, legal or illegal. They will be twisting everything we say to conform what they think it says.

Yes, but people are onto them now. They have lost about 1900 seats in government from the local level to the federal level. The Democraps are the party of slavery and Jim Crow laws, and they want blacks to vote for their own oppressors (the Democraps). Whereas, Republicans are the party of Lincoln and of freedom.

I hope President Trump stands his ground. I think if he does the Executive Order again and it is modified so the Courts can’t complain,
hopefully the Courts and the leftists Democrats will shut their mouths for a change. Their actions are despicable and I am afraid this will
go on for the 4 year term. As far as the border situation, the Democrats don’t want any enforcement because they believe that every
illegal coming across eventually will vote for them. Now they have trained and paid protestors all over the place to disrupt anything they
can and they are not peaceful, they are violent. What a shame for our Country.

As far as I am concerned , there shouldn’t be any muslims in this country. They worship allah and the people in the states don’t. They probably don’t even follow our laws.
