AMAC: Obamacare is Full Of ‘Dirty, Little Secrets’

The ‘smell’ of it has only gotten worse with the passage of time  –

BOHEMIA, NY, Mar 22 – Dan Weber, president of the Association of Mature American Citizens [AMAC], says that “Obamacare may collapse under its own weight when the Supreme Court takes up the constitutionality of several key components.  But, meantime we must continue to hold the feet of the GOP primary candidates to the fire to ensure its repeal once the president is out of office next year.”

It’s been two years since President Obama “foisted his healthcare law on us and the smell of it has only gotten worse with the passage of time.  Nancy Pelosi was right when she called on her fellow Democrats in Congress to pass the law before anybody could find out what it contained.”

Now the Congressional Budget Office tells us that, oops, Obamacare is going to cost you, the taxpayer, twice as much as was originally projected, according to Weber.

“The law is full of dirty, little secrets,” he said, pointing to a recent analysis of the law by Philip Klein of the Washington Examiner showing that Obamacare is not living up to its promises in a number of other ways.

For example, President Obama and Ms. Pelosi said at the time that “if you like your insurance plan, you could keep it.”  But, it turns out, private employers are dropping their employee health insurance plans and giving them a little extra in their paychecks so they can go out and find their own insurance coverage, Weber explained.

Klein also points out in his analysis that “some 4 million fewer people will obtain insurance through employers or through the insurance exchanges promoted by the healthcare law by 2016 than estimated a year ago.  That’s because companies will drop their insurance and just pay the fine. To put it simply, it is cheaper for the companies to pay the fine, expected to be $2,000, than pay the $6k-$12K they pay each year per employee.”

The Association of Mature American Citizens [] is a vibrant, vital and conservative alternative to those traditional organizations, such as AARP, that dominate the choices for mature Americans who want a say in the future of the nation.  Where those other organizations may boast of their power to set the agendas for their memberships, AMAC takes its marching orders from its members.  We act and speak on their behalf, protecting their interests, and offering a conservative insight on how to best solve the problems they face today.

I agree with all the above just about………First and foremost, get rid of Obamacare and vote down
as many liberals as possible in the Senate and, of course, vote out Obama. The new president
will have a much smarter and wiser cabinet, whether it be Romney, Newt or Santorum….Newt is
our last chance to have one of our own age category and he knows what is going on and is taking
heat from Obama and his liberal pack more than the other candidates. Think about it. Newt knows!
and we need experiential knowledge in the White House again.

I agree 100 per cent! Why does everyone think that seniors have all this money available to be able to afford Medicare part B let alone all those “supplementary” plans we hear about? My only income is SSD, and after paying my rent all I have left for the month is $123.

Also, imposing a fine on uninsured individuals is as illegal as it would be to impose a fine for people who don’t want to shop at Wal-Mart. Apparently this “law” is for the benefit of the insurance companies. All the President had to do was to mandate all insurance companies to drop their premium rates by 50 per cent or THEY would get the fine. While this sounds harsh, it would not hurt the insurance companies, as they would enjoy a boom in insurance sales, generating revenue while stimulating the economy and providing medical insurance for those who previously had none.

I agree with all of you and I to am fearful for our way of life. The only way to fix it is to send Obama down the road kicking rocks, like he is doing to us. This man is dangerous to us as a nation and the only weapon we have is the ballot box.

I agree with the comments that Obama is a muslim and was born in Kenya. Both Obama and Michele accidently let it slip in a public speech that Kenya is the place of his birth. His birth certificate is not valid and we all know it, but the congress and the republicans are not pursuing the matter when it is blantanly in your face. Why?

I have expressed my utter displeasure with the muslim traitor. Send him on his way. Now.

What seniors under age 55 need to realize is that the GOP leaders met again around a week ago in secret behind closed doors to hash out plans to privatize medicare according to press releases on March 16th.

What this means is that if the pre-existing condition laws are overturned and Medicare is privatized that seniors will highly likely be uninsured in old age. Face it. It is the perfect storm for these people. And all of us will eventually have a pre-existing condition. It is only a matter of time.

No more AARP, they voted for Obama Care then asked for a waiver from this law like most Unions got a waiver of this that supported Obamacare.

All should listen to what is going on in their towns & cities. We have a vote coming up in April on what is called the stretch code. Building codes. Ok Now this Federal control how we build homes an if falls under UN AGENDA 21. A goverment control. Look UN Agenda 21. It will control water rights, personal land use.

You all know that this a complete control of our land, water .

President Obama has been taking credit for this monstrosity but he could not have done it without the Democrats in the House and Senate.
Remember how they held meeting and ostracized the Republicans.
Remember how they all voted this bill into law (without reading it).
Without them there would be no “Obamacare”
Remember them when your voting and vote them out!

The bill was designed to ensure that a single source of healthcare would survive, that being the government. Once the government plan is in place we will have no choice other than to accept “death panel” decisions, made by non-medical personnel, and life threatening delays in getting treatment. The only way for Social Security and Medicare to survive under the current administration is for people to die earlier. This plan of “medicine for all” is like having a rotten apple in the barrel. Rather than removing the rotten one, they will allow it to ruin all.

I have medical professionals in my family and know many others through them. Most are discouraged and intend to retire as soon as possible. Doctors have seen their pay cut severely by health insurance companies while having malpractice insurance premiums raised. Any serious healthcare plan should have included tort reform, but lawyers saw to that being excluded. To my way of thinking, a serious plan should have included tort reform and a two tiered system that allowed present plans to continue and established government clinics for the uninsured. The government clinics could have been funded by a federal sales tax. Instead the Obama Administration opted to destroy the best healthcare in existence while increasing taxes under the guise of improving healthcare.

I just retired from working in health care for the last 35 years and I agree that the Obamacare plan is ludicres. If this is what our gov. thinks of us the AMERICAN people then it is time to change! It is downright frightening to think the we would no longer have the right to make our own decisions about out our healthcare.

That’s right, Obamacare can be abused. And companies will be laying people off and hiring part time people to avoid having to provide health coverage. Also, there are companies that will just not provide insurance for their employees because it is cheaper to pay the fine. If the Supreme court rules in favor of Obamacare, Congress will have complete power to do whatever they want and make whatever decisions affecting our lives that they choose. That is frightening.

A Huge retailer teamed up with the SEIU to back Obamacare. When the enrollment period opened up, the health insurance rates for this company had gone way up and deductibles had doubled. There are some new preventative services that had not been offered before (such as a colonoscopy) but I don’t think it is a fair trade for the high rates that have to be paid now. Oh, and the old timers who have any health issues are being systematically weeded out. New hires are part time and can only get healthcare after a certain number of hours worked. So, can Obamacare be abused by big corporations? You Betcha!

Every time this President does something, it is with the intent of changing and ruining this country. He “hopes he can change it.” He hates America as do his friends who are Socialists, Marxists, and yes – Communists. These folks have been hanging around until they could take over the Government and Obama Care was just another thing that will overload the system as planned. America – be very smart with you choice in 2012! It may be the last chance to save America.

When I read the health care bill, there are things included that will give groups and the government power to do whateveer they wish with your life, your money, and your country. Do your research folks. This country is under seige! There are many mysterious things happening, and one is the President and all his Czars.

Yes, why aren’t the seniors being told exactly what is in store for us in the obamacare bill ?. I hear bits and pieces. The babyboomers are a big voting block. We need to know and the republicans need to tellus now!!!

There is no question that we need health care reform, however, Obamacare is not the answer. First of all, it was done in a very deceptive manner behind closed doors without giving the people a voice. It is far too complicated and will cost far more than we were led to believe. There are other ways to cut the cost of medical care including the waste that comes from the abuse of Medicare. Eliminating senseless law suits against doctors is another because it would cut back on unnecessary testing done by doctors. There are other suggestions but I have said enough. Obamacare must be repealed.
